Information for Federal Workers / Contractors


This public webpage is designed to support RLC members including RR families who are part of the federal workforce. We will update this page regularly, so please check back here to learn of resources available that we are able to pass along to you. We are planning ways to best support congregational members affected by the recent government shutdown. If you are impacted and have specific needs please contact [email protected]. Alternatively, if you are able to provide help or specific resources please reach out to the church office email. 

Below are websites with information for individuals affected by recent federal workforce actions:

  • DMV restaurants are offering deals for those affected by the shutdown. A list of some offering food and drink deals is available here. 

  • Congressman Don Beyer has published a list of Resources for Federal Workers and Contractors Impacted by the Government Shutdown. This is available here. 

  • Senator Tim Kaine previously published a list of resources that are still relevant for federal workers, including information about understanding your rights, unemployment and job assistance, healthcare, and housing. His message, along with these resources, are available here.
