Teens enjoy fellowship, faith and service opportunities.

Women gather during the daytime for Book Club, Lunch Bunch, Quilters, Prayer Shawls, Banner creation and retreats.

Other activities include men, women, and children of all age groups.

ministry teams

Among our regular fellowship at Redeemer we also offer more focused group ministries. These groups can bring added dimension to your spiritual life. You have an opportunity to connect with members and non-members of Redeemer, in a wholesome and healthy atmosphere, who share common concerns, aspirations and life situations. We hope you will take advantage of these opportunities for spiritual growth and development

Social Concerns

Welcome to Redeemer Lutheran Church in McLean, VA!

We invite you to become familiar with all of our different ministries at our church – our worship life, spiritual formation, education, and our outreach into the community.  Learn about the organizations that we support, both locally and abroad. We have been blessed with resources to give financial support and we also engage in hands-on projects throughout the year. We find that this is a wonderful way to teach our young people about mission as they work side-by-side with their parents and other adults in our faith community.

Each ministry listed is an expression of the breadth and depth of our love for Christ as we serve the people that God has sent our way. The list includes a brief description of each organization and we encourage you to reach out to the group’s lead contact to learn more.

It is our hope and prayer that if you see something that you believe you are called to experience that you will work with our Social Concerns committee and we will find a place for you to serve.

As you read about each ministry, please offer a word of prayer that

… they will be faithful in their response to the people they serve

… they will be given the resources they need to effectively make a difference in this world

… we will be able to continue to support them in thanksgiving to God

Yours in Christ – Pastor Sandy Kessinger
