Redeemer Sunday School is held at the church every Sunday morning at 9:45 am during the school year for those age 2 1/2 through High School. If your family is new to Redeemer’s Sunday School program, or if your family information has changed, click here to register for Sunday School. Redeemer is blessed with a wonderful teaching team. Many of our teachers are parents of the children currently in the program, while others have grown children and continue to teach the next generation. But Sunday School classes are only part of our Spiritual Development here at Redeemer. Parents are invited to help with other activities and events. We have a broad selection of educational and family fellowship opportunities to enrich our Christian Education program.

The Youth Confirmation program at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer is a two-year program of intensive study for 7th and 8th graders which includes:
Classroom study: Sunday classes are held on Sunday mornings at 9:45am from September to June. During the course of the two years, each confirmand will study:
•The Reformation period and the basic doctrines of the Lutheran Church.
•The development of the Bible, what is in it and how to read it.
•Martin Luther’s Small Catechism
•Other world religions.
Workshop discussions: Several times a year both 7th and 8th graders meet together with the Pastor and parent mentors to discuss issues of faith in small group settings.
Worship: Students are expected to attend worship services regularly; filling out “sermon outlines” to help them focus on each of the part of the worship service.
Retreats/Mission Trips: There are several retreats during the year specifically tailored for our youth. The first is to a weekend Synod junior high retreat at Shekinah in March. The second is an annual week-long summer mission trip to an area of need. A third occurs every 3 years and involves 30,000 Lutheran teenagers from across the nation - the ELCA National Youth Gathering. It is amazing to see how energized the youth are after their return!
Service: Our youth are very active in many service opportunities both within the church and as part of outreach projects from Redeemer.
The calendar of activities is determined by parent volunteers, which ends up being a wonderful way for the parents to connect with other parents and other youth as they too go through this transition period. At the end of the two year period and in coordination with the Pastor and the families of those involved, a Confirmation service takes place on Reformation Sunday and is a special worship service for the students, their families and friends.
